PROFILE
Over the following years, I had great success in many established competitions achieving 1st place in the British Line Dance Masters in 2002, 2nd place in the CWDC European Championships in the same year, and 3rd place in the World Dance Masters in 2003. I also explored different styles of dance attaining gold medals in various styles including Rock ‘n’ Roll, Club Dance, and Freestyle.
Whilst the technique and understanding gained through these different styles have helped to shape me as a dancer; my true passion has always remained with line. I live to celebrate the clever choreography produced by our hard-working community and the fantastic array of music we are all introduced to by being part of this social cluster.
Line dance has been the most profound, individual influence in constructing my character through which I have learned many of life’s lessons. In 2008, I began my own enterprise of classes, socials, and workshops which people travel from far and wide to attend. I have also had great success with my own choreography ranging from the mainstream, chart-topping ‘Night Owl’ to the funky newline hit ‘Count Down!’.
I am currently also very busy undertaking a joint honours degree in Geography and Town Planning at the University of Birmingham. I am a keen traveller and have been lucky to travel all over the world to New York in the States, Tanzania, Tunisia, and Zanzibar in Africa, Jordan in the Middle East, Denmark and Norway in Scandinavia, and most of Europe including Greece, Cyprus, and all of the Balearic Islands. My other interests include football which I’ve held a season ticket for West Bromwich Albion for as long as I have danced.
