In response to a private email - yes, this dance is very americanized to a latin song... but for the age group I was considering for it, this seemed to work the best. The skirts swishing really helps... There is meaning in the dance steps/direction... You will notice in Set A "the gal in the song and dance/she" dances side to side, to and fro -dancing and living her life, Set B speaks of the Scandal in the song - this is where we see "her" moving towards the experience of scandal and yet backing away again - the pull is there for her - both directions. For the sister dance Scandalous Train, the dancers are mostly moving forward - for style more than meaning.... Thanks for asking!
