Just want to make people aware that count 8 on section 4 should be a touch so you can restart the dance. Touch the right beside left to restart the dance with the right toe strut.

Thank you Karen. We've been doing this dance in all my classes and love it. The challenge of the left Monterey turn for those who are right-handed has brought lots of giggles and some not-so-nice comments. Again, thank you for a fun dance to a good tune!

Hello Sassy Stepper. I did the left Monterey turn to show my class that a Monterey Turn can also be done leading with the left foot. I was asked a few weeks ago at class if a Monterey was always done using the right. I explained that most dance are done using the right but in theory it can be done using either right or left. Turned out a left Monterey finishing with a right touch was perfect for the last eight counts with the right touch allowing you to restart the dance. The air has been blue in my classes with the left Monterey as some are trying to do it with the right foot.
