**8 count tag/restart happens here at the end of wall 3 on counts 5&6, replace steps to kick ball touch (instead of putting weight on R) continue with Monterey turns: point R toe out to R, make a half turn over R shoulder and step R foot next to L, point L toe out to side, step L foot next to R, and repeat these 3 counts to come back to front wall, and replacing step on last count w/touch L toe next to right (will be facing 9:00)

Begin again and enjoy! Although this dance is an “odd” count; it is choreographed to the music as well as the chorus. We’re going through some difficult and uncertain times right now-this is just a FUN song – as I tell my students in class “make it your own”; during the chorus it says to put you hands in your pocket—I want you to just have fun!!!

Kim: I really like your dance. As an instructor and choreographer I wanted to ask about a couple of issues I find with the dance. In Section One you have a 3/4 turn with hip bumps but you have labeled each turn as 1/2 then 1/4 and then 1/2 which equals 1 1/4 turns instead of 3/4. I think you mean 1/4 turn each. Also the tag is very tricky. Instead of changing wall 3 and adding a complicated tag, would you consider just finishing wall three just like the other walls and then just adding a 6 count tag. We found that we could simply add a left foot start shuffle forward, a right foot rock forward, and recover back on the left foot, and then a right shuffle back for a simple 6 count tag. It fits perfectly with the count of 44 counts for wall 3. Otherwise, a great dance!
