Initially instruction was not on my agenda, but I was invited to teach my dances and have now taught at events across Canada, the US, the UK, Japan, Australia and more recently in France. It was an absolute thrill and incredible honour when I was awarded the Dancers' Choice Award for Female Instructor of the Year 2006, which was presented at the Vegas Dance Explosion, and nominated again for the same award in 2007. I was greatly touched that so many dancers nominated and voted for me and very much appreciated their support. My aim with my instruction is to try to ensure that all of the dancers in my classes gain confidence in their ability to learn and that the process is fun. I want them all to leave my class with smiles on their faces.
